The Joint Research Laboratory for Integrated Infrastructure of High Performance Computing and Data Analysis was funded by NEC and established on May 2021 at the Cybermedia Center, Osaka University.
The Cybermedia Center at Osaka University has a responsibility of providing high performance computing environment with researchers and scientists in Japan. For the purpose, we have been studying the information technologies useful for scientists’ and researchers’ promoting researchers using our supercomputing systems (SQUID and OCTOPUS).
This Joint Research Laboratory, in particular, focuses on High-performance computing technology and data analysis integrated computing technology that allows us to make maximum use of the hardware performance, High-performance computer system infrastructure technology that can accommodate a wide variety of computing needs, and Data Aggregation and management technology that make high-performance computers easier to use.
